Sassy ran a nice race today against some very strong competition. She broke first and pressed the lead for most of the race before taking over the lead. In the stretch she tired, and fell back, but she was able to hang on and dig down to pull out a 5th.

Sorry she got tired and fell back …. This may change Sassy’s racing tactics, then? Lay off the lead early, then come on strong at the end?

Don’t know much about racing but I agree with Eric and after it was over I did wonder why she took the lead and held it so early on. Seems to me she ran best when she settled into fourth place and then made her run at the very end.???
