Sassy has the inside post position which will let her save ground. The weather has been dryer over the past few days, so hopefully the rail will not be too wet and deep.
Her race will have 8 horses in it, as two of the 10 entries are marked MTO, which means Main Track Only. Those horses will only be in the race if it rains and the race is moved onto the main track.
This is Sassy’s first race after her winter layup, and conventional wisdom says that most horses need one to two races to get to the optimal fitness to win. Despite that, we’ll be cheering Sassy on and hoping that she does her best!
As usual, a group will be meeting in the dining room prior to the race to eat lunch. If you let George know if you are going he can call in passes.
