We attempted to enter a 7.5F turf race at Delaware Park on Thursday August 7th and the racing office told our trainer that the race wouldn’t go and that instead they’d be running the race on Saturday August 9th. So we entered that race, and to our dismay, that race didn’t go either although we thought that the race filled. Luckily an extra was written for Monday August 11th, and we got in. Sassy is ready for a race!

A note to non-racehorse people- if a race doesn’t fill up with enough horses or for some reason the racing office decides not to include it in that day’s racing program, the correct terminology is that the “race didn’t go”. We’re happy that the “extra” race for Monday did “go” and we got in!

Sassy’s next race will be this coming Monday going 1 mile on the turf.
