Sassy is ready for her first race of the season! We have nominated her for the Stormy Blues Stakes, which is a $100,000 race for 3 year old fillies, on the turf, going 5 Furlongs. Sassy had a work from the gate today as her prep for the race and she went 4 furlongs on the dirt in 49.4s. She got her gate card and went in exactly the time they were looking for. She came out of the work well, so the training team decided that it is a go for the Stormy Blues!

The nominations closed today, and the entries will be posted sometime next week.

If we don’t get into this race, we have a backup plan for races the next week, but we are hoping we’ll get in!

We’re all pretty excited about this, so fingers crossed that she gets in! I’ll post an update as soon as we know if she gets in or not.
